Culinary nirvana in the heart of Georgetown

I probably do not have to introduce Georgetown cupcakes to anyone who has ever set their foot in Georgetown or spoken to me. I seem to mention them with worship any time I open my mouth.

Well here they are...Gorgetown Cupcakes, heaven in a cupcake. No boyfriend required, no smashing GPA, no internship in the World Bank...if you even feel down, go to the corner of 33rd and M St. And simply enjoy.

My advice- take somone with you! Firstly not to get crazy with the variety of choice, second, it's nicer to share this bit of haeven :)

My Polish friends, cruely deprived of the posibility of indulging themselves with cupkaces, often ask me: what are actually these "cupcakes"?

Imagine a small  portion of cupke, which is soft, spongy, humid and comes in different tastes. From signature red velvet or lava fudge to seasonal pumpkin in fall or cherry blossom in spring.
Add to it a ganache, cream cheese or vanilla  frosting, shredded coconut or foundant flower...and you come up with irresistable cupcake.

But there is much more in the most famous cupcakes in Washington D.C.than just a taste. They are a luxury product which you can get just around the corner. The atmosphere in the store, logo, pink box and paper bag you get your sweet purchase wrapped in, they all make Georgetown cupcake not only a culinary delight, but a complete indulgance experience.

Finally, as much as these cupcakes move one's all sense, they are based on business. They were found by two sisters in 2008. The idea of cupcakery, succesful in itself, evolved in TV series, cupcake recipe books and numerous interviews. in just 2 years. Congratulations!
