Here's comes cream de la creme of all that fuss with moving to the other side of the globe and studying at GU: COURSES!
I have to take:
-Introduction to Microeconomics
-Statistical Methods for Policy Analysis
-Comparative Policy Process
Plus one elective:
I chose two modules (half semester courses): Procurement and Analysis of Development Projects and Implementation of Development Projects.
As a shock came to me prices of the text books. All text books I HAVE to buy for the fall semester will costs about $500 (their prices range from $220 to $20).And let me explain a specific I guess to US "text book culture". From what I see here it is not appropriate (illegal!) to copy books, most of the text books are not in the library and those which are, are outdated. The only way than to have text books, is to buy them. And the only way you can buy them cheaply, is to buy used ones on for example amazon or use "exchange system" with 2-year students.
