Fulbright Get Together!

One month after moving to the USA, I had a pleasure to meet Fulbrighters studying in the Washington area. This was thanks to meet & greet organized by Institute of International Education staff. IIE administers Fulbright scholarships and has a small branch in DC.

There were about 30 people present- among thers from Russia, Brazil, Portugal, UK. All of them pursue master or doctoral degrees or run reseach in various discipline at Maryland University, George Washington and Geogetown.


The role of IIE here in DC, is to assist us with VISA issues, make sure we stay "in status" (which is basically making sure we don't do something which is not incompliance with J-1 visa regulations), approving our foreign travels & offer a shoulder to cry on , when we ned it:)
